Effective April 1, 2004, whenever an incumbent Mayor or Prosecuting <br /> Attorney is reelected, that individual will continue to be compensated at <br /> the pay grade and step the incumbent has at the time of the election, <br /> and will continue to be eligible for step movement based on the original <br /> anniversary date of appointment. <br /> 7. Effective April 1, 2004, whenever a Mayor is reelected and reappoints his <br /> cabinet to the same positions held as in the first term of office, the <br /> appointees will continue to be compensated at the pay grade and step <br /> as at the time of the election and will continue to be eligible for step <br /> movement based on their original anniversary date of their appointments. <br /> Any individual appointed to another position will be compensated at the <br /> beginning step of the appropriate pay grade; provided any individual <br /> appointed to another position in the same or lower pay range will be <br /> compensated at the same step the individual has immediately prior to the <br /> individual's new appointment. Example: An individual compensated at <br /> A-18, Step C is appointed to a position compensated at A-17. The <br /> individual's step will remain Step C in pay grade A-17. <br /> 8.
