<br />CORRESPONDENCE <br />The Institute for Women's Policy Research submitted correspondence with a summary <br />of activities in celebration of their 25 year anniversary and a look ahead at important <br />women’s policy issues for 2014. <br /> <br />REPORTS <br />A. LIAISON <br /> 1. Legislative Update – No report <br /> <br />B. HEALTH <br />1. Women’s Health Month – No report <br /> <br />C. EDUCATION <br /> 1. Equal Pay – No report <br /> <br /> 2. Urgent Services Directory <br />Farrah-Marie G. reported that the directories have been ordered through <br />OfficeMax. They needed to order more paper to fulfill the quantity of 10,000 <br />copies, so the order has not been completed yet. Directories are anticipated to <br />be available by the February meeting. <br /> <br />3. Voter Registration <br />Kim S. reported that the deadline to register for the primary election is July 10 <br />and the deadline to register for the general election is October 6. <br /> <br />Kim S. has volunteered to coordinate CSW participation in the Kona Stroll on <br />June 8 and September 21. The purpose of the event is to educate the <br />community about voting and provide the opportunity for those who are <br />interested to register. <br /> <br />Farrah-Marie G. will check with Brooke D. to see if there might be similar voter <br />registration education opportunities in North Hawaii. Cyd H. and Mele S. will <br />look into similar opportunities in East Hawaii. <br /> <br />4. Teen Dating Violence Prevention – Jill Murray <br />Farrah-Marie G. made a motion to form a committee to coordinate the details <br />for Dr. Jill Murray’s trip to speak on teen dating violence prevention. Kim S. <br />seconded the motion. The motion was passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Farrah-Marie G. made a motion to have Carol K., Katie N., Cyd H., and Hazel <br />B. serve on the Murray trip planning committee. Hazel B. seconded the motion. <br />The motion was passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The committee will have their first meeting on January 21 at 5:30pm via Skype. <br /> <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br />
