Update on donations:
Before leaving the CSW at the end of last year, Nancy K. got a verbal
commitment from Fresh Onishi in the amount of $1,500.

Cyd H. is still communicating with Greggor Ilagan, with no decision yet.

All other verbal commitments have yet to be sent before the Council:
Valerie Poindexter - $2,500 (Farrah-Marie G. reported that this should be
on the council agenda later this month)
Zendo Kern – $3,500 (Cyd H. will follow-up)
Brenda Ford - $10,000 (Carol K. will follow-up)
Dru Kanuha - $5,000 (Hazel B. will follow-up)

We need to follow-up with Elena on the status of our request to the
HSCSW.

5. Real Women Creative Writing Contest
Approximately 90 essays were submitted by the December 20 deadline. All
essays have been delivered to committee members for review. Results are
expected back by January 31.

The essay contest awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, March 30.
Three quotes still need to be obtained, preferably from Hapuna, Hilton, and
Marriott.

D. Community Reports
1. Networking – No report

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. Project Ideas

Kim S. obtained quotes for a vinyl banner from OfficeMax, Instant Sign and
Costco. OfficeMax was the cheapest vendor at $90 with a turn around time of
about one week. Instant Sign quoted between $108-$120 based on having a print
ready file. Costco only does printing on poster paper, no vinyl.

Margaret M. will ask a colleague for assistance with creating a print ready file for
the CSW logo.

Currently, there are no funds allocated for printing of the banner. Mele S. will look
into the best way to allocate these funds. The quantity of banners hasn’t yet been
decided. We should try to bring the current banner to the next meeting so
everyone can see what it looks like.

3
