<br />Carol reported that the essay contest packets have gone out. The essays are <br />due at the end of December. Judging will begin in January. The luncheon will <br />be scheduled for either March 2 or 30, whenever the hotel is available. <br /> <br />D. Committee reports <br /> 1. Networking <br /> No report. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. Project Ideas <br /> 1. Rodeo <br /> Hazel will find out what the program ads will cost in one of their competition <br /> programs. These ads would increase our visibility in those ads. Farrah-Marie <br /> stated that she has contact people for the rodeo which she will e-mail Hazel. <br /> <br /> 2. Girl Scouts <br /> Farrah-Marie reported that she hasn’t met with the organization yet and plans <br /> to meet before the next meeting. She does not anticipate asking for any <br /> money at this time; it’s just an awareness issue and she will start networking <br /> with organizations around the island. It’s a project that we could follow. <br /> <br />3. Robotics <br />Hazel will follow up with Justin Brown at Kealakehe High School. <br /> <br />4. Soccer <br />Brooke reported that the soccer group has a publication. They have a team <br />picture of each team; baseball group does advertisement on the local stations <br />with Time Warner – she will follow up on these groups and get the cost of <br />advertising. <br /> <br />5. Farrah-Marie will present a conference idea at the next meeting. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Domestic Violence Family Peace Walk and Vigil <br /> Hilo - October 25, 2013 at Aupuni Center <br />CSW will have a table at Aupuni Center. CSW purple bags will be <br />distributed. <br /> Cyd will pick up the bags at the Prosecutor’s Office. <br /> <br /> Kona – October 19, 2013, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the International <br /> Marketplace; purple bags will be passed out. <br /> <br /> Mayor’s Health Fest – Katie, Hazel, Kim & Margaret will man the booth. <br /> <br /> Elena requested submitting pictures <br /> <br />B. Review of duties and responsibilities for officers and clerical <br /> 8 <br /> <br />
