Community <br /> meetings and meetings hosted by council members are also encouraged to gather more input or <br /> responses to existing CL's suggested. <br /> • Discussion on supporting other recommendations regarding transportation routes available <br /> after areas have been cut off from disasters, e.g. lava flows <br /> Gail Armand has written a proposal for post-disaster alternative routes and means of <br /> transportation for the Puna district. The CER subcommittee recognizes the importance of <br /> addressing this and further discussed the need to shelter in place and ways to be more <br /> prepared; establishing a Disaster Emergency Fund and have elected officials bridge this idea <br /> with FEMA.
