DISCUSSION REGARDING SUBCOMMITTEE MEETINGS WITH VARIOUS <br />DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF GATHERING <br />INFORMATION FOR THE FINAL REPORT <br /> <br />The Commission will discuss the subcommittees' progress in meetings with <br />the various departments to investigate and gather information from various <br />departments and agencies of the County of Hawai'i to assist in the preparation <br />of the final report. <br /> <br />a. County Council, Finance, and Police Department <br />i. Vehicle take home policy <br />ii. First responder policy <br />(J. Mitchell) <br /> <br />b. Finance <br />i. New proposal regarding requiring the provision of State tax returns <br />to receive real property tax exemptions <br />(J. Mitchell) <br /> <br />c. Mayor's Office <br />i. Efforts to streamline processes by integrating both hardware and <br />software technology to reduce the building permit backlog <br />ii.
