<br />80 iv.Deanne Bugado spoke in regards to filling committee vacancies <br /> <br />81 and that she has not received any applications at this point in time. <br />82 Kit Roehrig agreed to write an article for North Hawaii News to <br />83 bring attention to the upcoming vacancies. <br />84 v.Discussion about obtaining a list of all pending bills before county <br /> <br />85 council. <br />86 The Action Committee determined that Margaret Wille’s email <br />87 blasts contain all the information that they need, and advised for <br />88 everyone to get on her email list. <br />89 f.Discussion Items proposed by Action Committee Member Jojo <br /> <br />90 Tanimoto <br />91 i.There was discussion of training needs of the AC members, and the <br /> <br />92 it was mentioned that there are various trainings that the county’s <br />93 Corporation Counsel’s Office offers. New members were given the <br />94 option to let Deanne know what they would be interested in <br />95 attending, and Deanne would let them know the training schedule. <br />96 Some training requests discussed are: <br />97 a.Land Laws <br /> <br />98 b.General Planning Department Application Process (and <br /> <br />99 specifically PUDs) <br />100 c.Sunshine Law <br /> <br />101 2.Sub-Committee Reports <br /> <br />102 a.Waikoloa – John Mueller discussed the brainstorm that occurred at <br /> <br />103 their last meeting and that the brainstorm would continue at their <br />104 next meeting. No formal updates. <br />105 b.Kawaihae - Josephine Tanimoto/John Mueller, no updates. <br /> <br />106 c.Puako - John Hoover <br /> <br />107 i.Puako Community Association met on July 7 to change its <br /> <br />th <br />108 bylaws. It was made so that the group was now only open to <br />109 property owners and it is volunteer based, not mandatory <br />110 membership. <br />111 ii.UH continues to study water quality along the Puako Coast <br /> <br />112 iii.Coral Reef Alliance has secured funding to bring their clean <br /> <br />113 water projects for reefs program to Puako. <br />114 iv.a presentation funded from the National Park Service <br /> <br />115 predicting that by 2050, most of Puako would be underwater <br />116 v.discussion in regards to two permit issues: <br /> <br />117 1.Puako 1- question of how many water rights have been <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
