<br /> <br />Mr. Darrow informed the Commission that the Planning Director recommended that this item be <br />continued to the next Windward Planning Commission meeting on March 5, 2015, because he <br />had scheduled public workshops in Kea‛au and Kona regarding this request. The workshops will <br />thth <br />be held on February 11 and February 12, respectively. <br /> <br />It was moved by Commissioner Ikeda and seconded by Commissioner Henkel that this matter be <br />continued to the next Windward Planning Commission meeting. A roll call was taken, and the <br />motion passed with 5 aye votes (Ikeda, Henkel, Moses, Ono, Miyasato). <br /> <br />This item ended at 9:32 a.m. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> – The Commission took this item up at 9:32 a.m. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes of the January 8, 2015 meeting – It was moved by Commissioner Ikeda, <br />and seconded by Commissioner Henkel, that the minutes of January 8, 2015, be approved as <br />circulated. Motion was unanimously carried by a voice vote of all Commissioners in attendance. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS/ANNOUNCEMENTS - <br />The Commission took up the <br />following at 9:33 a.m. <br /> <br />At 9:33 a.m., it was moved by Commissioner Ikeda and seconded by Commissioner Ono that <br />the Commission go into executive session to consult with its attorney regarding questions and <br />issues pertaining to the Commission’s powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities, <br />pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes Section 92-4 and 92-5. A voice vote was taken of all <br />Commissioners present, and motion carried with five aye votes. <br /> <br />At 9:34 a.m., the Commission went into executive session. At 9:38 a.m., it was moved by <br />Commissioner Ikeda and seconded by Commissioner Henkel that the Commission go out of <br />executive session. A voice vote was taken of all Commissioners present, and motion carried <br />with five aye votes. <br /> <br />The meeting reconvened for regular session at 9:39 a.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ikeda made a motion for reconsideration of the Commission’s previous decision <br />regarding the claim made by Puna Pono Alliance, et al. regarding the Geothermal Asset Fund <br />[rejecting the Claim Adjuster’s Recommendation and awarding the claim for a Psycho-Social <br />Impact and Community Wellbeing Study - $293,760 and the establishment of a Native Hawaiian <br />Health Study Review Board at the January 8, 2014 Commission meeting]. Chairman Miyasato <br />directed Planning Department staff to put this motion for reconsideration on the next <br />Commission agenda for the March 5, 2015 meeting. Mr. Patel stated that if there is a second to <br />the motion at the next Commission meeting, the motion may be discussed and appropriately <br />acted upon.
