INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST III -2- <br />• Analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations on methods and procedures <br />relating to assigned projects. <br />• Designs and develops new forms for agencies to review. <br />• May develop computer programs as a secondary assignment. <br />• Performs other related duties as assigned. <br />Minimum Qualification Requirements: <br />Training and Experience: A combination of education and experience <br />substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a <br />bachelor's degree and one and one-half years (1 1/2) of progressively responsible work <br />experience in computer systems analysis which involved the conduct of feasibility <br />studies and the analysis and design of information technology systems. <br />Substitutions Allowed: <br />Excess experience at the fully competent level in computer systems <br />analysis, which involved the conduct of feasibility studies and the <br />analysis and design of information technology systems, may be <br />substituted for education on a one for one basis (i.e., one (1) year of <br />experience for one (1) year of education). <br />2. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in <br />Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management <br />Information Systems may be substituted for six (6) months of the required <br />information systems analysis experience. <br />3. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer <br />Science or Management Information Systems may be substituted for one <br />and one-half (1 1/2) years of the required information systems analysis <br />experience. <br />License Reauirement: Possession of a valid State of Hawaii driver's license <br />(Class 3) or any other valid comparable driver's license. <br />Knowledge of: analytical methods and techniques; principles of report writing; <br />basic governmental functions and organizations; fundamentals of information systems <br />analysis and computer programming; knowledge of electronic computers, data <br />storage media/devices and other peripheral equipment, their capabilities and <br />general processes; data sources and flow, interactions of complex systems, and <br />capabilities and limitation of systems software and computer equipment. <br />Hawail county is an Equai"Opporhunity Provider andEmpCoyer. <br />
