B. CSW Brochure <br />Brooke received pictures and is waiting to get a draft back. <br />Action: Brooke will distribute the draft brochure for review prior to our <br />next meeting. <br />C. Real Women Essay Contest <br />1. The Hilton came back with the lowest bid this year. The luncheon will <br />cost $30 per person. The CSW will cover the luncheon cost for <br />winner, teacher, Real Woman and one parent. A decision has yet to <br />be made on whether we will cover the cost for a second parent. <br />2. Since judging packets were distributed at last month's meeting, <br />members who were not in attendance did not receive packets. Farrah <br />requested that in future years, we ensure that all CSW members are <br />included in the judging process. <br />Action: Decide on whether CSW will cover luncheon cost for second <br />parent. <br />D. Urgent Services Directory for Families <br />1. An intern in the Prosecuting Attorney's Office continues to work on the <br />directory. <br />E. Sub -Committee Reports — tabled. <br />F. Purchase of Banner <br />Hazel forwarded the information and specs for the banner to <br />Roxanne. <br />G. Approval of CSW Operational Guidelines — tabled. <br />H. Review of By -Laws — ways to involve the public in our meetings — tabled. <br />Action: Keep Approval of CSW Operational Guidelines and Review of <br />By -Laws to the next meeting agenda. There is a desire to discuss how <br />to amend by-laws to allow more community involvement. <br />X. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Hawaii Saddle Club Memorial Weekend Rodeo support request <br />1. Farrah made a motion to support the Hawaii Saddle Club Memorial <br />Weekend Rodeo with $300 for advertisement of the CSW at the 3 -day <br />event. Mele seconded the motion. <br />2. For $300, the CSW banner will be displayed for the three days, the <br />CSW will be featured in any written promotion and the CSW will be <br />promoted continuously by the emcee. This rodeo includes contestants <br />in all age groups from less than 5 years old to over 80 years old. <br />3. Carol voiced concern about supporting this event again this year. The <br />CSW will look at other populations to support in the future. <br />4. The motion was passed. <br />9 <br />
