The Action Committee <br />43 was very appreciative of their work and relationships they are building. <br />44 ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS <br />45 1.Meeting minutes from January 26, 2015 - Joel Cohen made a motion to <br /> <br />46 approve the minutes, and John Hoover seconded that motion. The motion <br />47 was carried unanimously. <br />48 2.Meeting minutes from February 23, 2015 - Joel Cohen made a motion to <br /> <br />49 approve the minutes, and Kit Roehrig seconded that motion. Motion was <br />50 carried unanimously. <br />51 BUSINESS OF COMMITTEE <br />52 1.Update/Discussion of Agenda Items by Council Members: District 1 – <br /> <br />53 Valerie Poindexter and District 9 – Margaret Wille <br />54 Margaret Wille brought up water issues and discussed that there are <br />55 overlaps that she’s been following on the new proposed enterprise zones. <br />56 She brought up the issues of watersheds, buffer zones, increased elevation in <br />57 some of these areas. She also brought up the input for the General Plan by <br />58 June 6, 2015 and her suggestions on how to properly review and provide <br />th <br />59 input and findings. She also brought up her work with the South Kohala <br />60 traffic safety committee and pushing for a regional transit hub beyond the <br />61 post office. <br />62 2.Subcommittee Reports <br /> <br />63 a.Long Term Education Planning – Joel Cohen – no updates. <br /> <br />64 b.General Plan Comprehensive Review – Jojo Tanimoto, Joel Cohen, John <br /> <br />65 Mueller – The subcommittee included their report to the attached <br />66 packed with the agenda and previous meeting minutes. <br />67 Jojo discussed the differences of each community and the need to ensure <br />68 they are making recommendations as a whole, without focusing on <br />69 regional issues. <br />70 c.Discussion in regards to creating a transit circulation project <br /> <br />71 subcommittee – Jojo brought up the problem of traffic congestion in <br />72 Waimea. She asked if there were any thoughts on creating a <br />73 subcommittee, and that item was set aside until there is further <br />74 discussion. <br />75 d.Other Reports – <br /> <br />76 i.Liaison Reports – <br /> <br />77 1.Waikoloa –John Mueller had his report attached to the <br /> <br />78 meeting documents. <br />79 2.Puako – John Hoover had no updates. <br /> <br /> <br />
