The references to the minimum rights of way widths in section 13.3.4 <br />be deleted. <br />Curtis Tyler reiterated that both subcommittees felt that they needed more <br />specific guidance from the Planning Department as to whether or not they <br />were going to rewrite the General Plan, change a few things, or start over <br />from scratch. <br />Bobby Command clarified that the General Plan the committees are looking <br />at now will not be the General Plan they see in the future. He explained that <br />the General Plan would act as a bridge between all the CDPs rather than an <br />overall statement. <br />Doug Payne asked that there be monthly updates from the Planning <br />Department on where they are in the General Plan process. <br />SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Hiram Rivera stated that despite his report in the last meeting, when he stated that <br />there shouldn't be a minimum or maximum when it comes to acreage in project <br />districts, that they are not done with this report and that the report will be <br />discussed and voted on at the May meeting, and submitted. <br />Doug Payne brought up that he attended the West Hawaii Community Forum on <br />April 9th and explained that there were discussions on route 11, King Kamehameha <br />III, and route 19 and they are ready to proceed. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Ken Melrose stated that the project district is the implementing tool to the CDP. He <br />discussed the issue with traffic on Kuakini Highway and lack of housing <br />development north of Keahou. He stressed the need to fix this issue and get higher <br />density approved. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Next meeting Wednesday, May 27th, 2015. <br />Meeting adjourned at 3:15 PM. <br />
