They explained that they want to replace <br />54 cesspools with septic systems within 200 feet of the shoreline or <br />55 waterways, and will be offering a tax credit of up to $10,000 for those <br />56 who do that. Jon explained that they went over the only permit which <br />57 was a side yard variance request for the lot near the well on the Akoni <br />58 Pule Highway. Keone encouraged the public that if they have been <br />72 denied access, that they should make complaints to the county, and to <br />73 attend the subcommittee meetings on the first Wednesday of every <br />74 month at 4:30. <br />75 Upolu East – no update. <br />76 Upolu Airport – there are some new projects being worked on by Toni <br />77 Withington. <br />78 Kaiholena – this is close to closing escrow. <br />79 Kohala Shoreline – this is what the majority of the meeting was about. <br />80 The last day to discuss the Environmental Assessment was on 8/7/15. <br />81 Keone explained that if anyone has issues with that you should attend <br />82 the meetings. He stated that they have invited Senator Inouye <br />90 to discuss the Kohala Ditch.
