Schutte, Chair <br />John M. Bertsch, Vice Chair <br />Arthur F. Buckman, Commissioner <br />Robert G. Gomes, Sr., Commissioner <br />Peter L. Hendricks, Commissioner <br />Peggy K. Hilton, Commissioner <br />Absent: Keith T. Morioka, Commissioner <br />A quorum was present. <br />Also present: Paul Ferreira, Deputy Chief <br />Marshall Kanehailua, Assistant Chief <br />Paul Kealoha, Assistant Chief <br />Henry Tavares, Assistant Chief <br />Kenneth Bugado, Captain <br />Belinda Castillo Hall, Deputy Corporation Counsel <br />Josie Pelayo, Secretary <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Commissioner Hendricks motioned to approve the agenda. Commissioner Buckman <br />seconded, and it carried unanimously. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS (None.) <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />• July 17, 2015, regular and executive sessions: Commissioner Hilton motioned to <br />approve the minutes. Vice Chair Bertsch seconded, and it carried unanimously. <br />POLICE CHIEF'S REPORT ON DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES <br />Including, but not limited to: <br />Crime report: Assistant Chief Tavares briefly highlighted the written report. Up <br />through July 31, 2015, there were 826 serious crimes, 100 of which were <br />investigated by the Criminal Investigation Units. In July, they had 9,284 calls for <br />
