CASE #19556 — PATOSKIE, JOSEPH <br />TM K 7-1-006-087-0000 <br />Appellant was not present. County appraiser Mary Ann Todd -Waller was present for the <br />County. <br />County informed the Board that the appellant had just faxed in a written request to have his <br />case rescheduled due to his travel arrangements. Ms. Nahoopii read the appellant's letter to <br />the Board as requested. A call for questions was made. <br />Mr. Church moved to deny appellant's request to reschedule. Seconded by Mr. <br />D'Amico. A call for discussion was made. Motion passed by a vote of 4:0. <br />County appraiser Mary Ann Todd -Waller proceeded with the presentation of the case. <br />Property located in the Puu Lani Ranch subdivision. <br />Appeal on land value. <br />County presented their case together with any and all information provided by the appellant. <br />County recommended sustaining the value. A call for questions was made. <br />Mr. Church moved to reduce the land assessment to $175,000. Seconded by Mr. <br />Takai. A call for discussion was made. Motion passed by a vote of 4:0. <br />SETTLEMENTS — 1:30P APPEALS AGENDA <br />County presented to the Board a 2 -page Appeals Agenda containing information on 11 cases <br />that had reached settlement agreements between the County and the respective appellants. <br />A copy of the agenda is attached hereto as Exhibit B. A call for questions was made. <br />Mr. Masuda requested to be recused from Case No. 19557 due to his relationship to the <br />appellant and would not provide any advice or participate in any questioning by the Board. <br />For the record, no questions or concerns were presented by the Board for Case No. 19557. <br />Board questioned the removal of the building value in Case No. 19562. Mr. Pike responded <br />on behalf of the County. <br />Board questioned the large reduction in land value in Case No. 19445. County appraiser <br />Ellsworth Hulihee responded on behalf of the County. <br />Board questioned the amount of reduction in Case No. 19100.
