a. Any member of the family over 62 years of age <br />may be allotted a separate bedroom; <br />b. In cases of single parents and dependents, <br />separate bedrooms may be allotted to the <br />child and the parent; <br />c. In cases when the children are of opposite <br />sexes, separate bedrooms may be allotted for <br />each child except where one or both are below <br />seven years of age; <br />d. A person with valid medical ailments may be <br />allotted a separate bedroom, provided the <br />necessity for the separate bedroom is <br />verified by a signed statement from a medical <br />doctor and other supporting data; or <br />e. A handicapped/disabled person may be <br />allocated a separate bedroom if the OHCD <br />determines that such separate bedroom is <br />necessary. <br />5. A living room, den, recreation room, study, office <br />or family room in a dwelling may be counted as a <br />bedroom. <br />6. The following schedule shall be used as a guide: <br />NUMBER OF BEDROOMS PERSONS PER DWELLING <br />OR SLEEPING ROOMS MINIMUM <br /> 0 1 <br /> 1 1 <br /> 2 2 <br /> 3 3 <br /> 4 4 <br />7. The dwelling unit should not require more than <br />five persons to use the same toilet or bathing <br />facilities. <br />g. The dwelling must be a completed residence prior to the <br />owner applying for the RRP. No incomplete dwellings <br />will be approved. <br />h. No Loan shall be granted where apparent violations of <br />the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, the Hawai`i County <br />Building Code or the Administrative Rules of the <br />Environmental Health Services, State Department of <br />Health, exist.
