CASE #24521 – BIG SURF TRUST <br />TMK 7-5-005-012-0000 <br /> <br />Mr. Takai requested to be recused from Case No. 24521 due to his past relationship with assessing <br />the appealed parcel. Granted by Mr. David. <br /> <br />Appellant was not present. It was noted for the record that the notice of hearing was delivered to the <br />appellant on July 25, 2016. Present for the County was appraiser Dionne Costa. <br /> <br />Property located on Kona Bay Drive, next door to the King Kamehameha Hotel. <br /> <br />Appeal on land and building values. <br /> <br />County presented their case together with any and all information provided by the appellant. County <br />recommended sustaining the assessed values. A call for questions was made. <br /> <br />Mr. Dinges moved to accept the County’s recommendation to sustain the land and building <br />values. Seconded by Ms. Reinhard. A call for discussion was made. It was noted for the record that the appellant contacted the office to <br />inform that he would not be attending the hearing. Present for the County was appraiser Ellsworth <br />Hulihee. <br /> <br />Property located on Ainanani Street in the Makalani subdivision. <br /> <br />Appeal on land value. <br /> <br />County presented their case together with any and all information provided by the appellant. County <br />recommended increasing the land value to $542,500. A call for questions was made. <br /> <br />Mr. Dinges moved to sustain the County’s value of $400,000. Seconded by Mr. David. A call <br />for discussion was made.
