Update from the Volcano Long Range Plan Subcommittee (VLRPS): <br />Larry shared that the subcommittee has refined their questionnaire, and will be using Survey <br />Monkey. The subcommittee hopes to initiate the survey soon. <br />5. Update from the Mass Transit Subcommittee (MTS): No Report. <br />Public Testimony: <br />Tiffany Kai, Mass Transit Administrator, shared that they are working on the execution of a <br />contract with the consultant for the Mass Transit Master Plan and they are anticipating an <br />August 1, 2016 start date. Paratransit services began July 1St complementing the intra Hilo and <br />intra Kona fixed routes. Applications are available online at http://www.heleonbus.org_/. Update from the Budget Subcommittee: <br />Susie informed the AC that their first subcommittee meeting focused on reviewing the Puna <br />related CIP items that were going to lapse. Additionally, the subcommittee cross referenced the <br />CIPS submitted by the AC with CIPS submitted by other departments or Councilmembers. <br />Action Committee members were encouraged to submit any new CIP requests to the Budget <br />Subcommittee. <br />7. Communication No. 2016-15, Puna Regional Library Invitation: <br />Frank invited Stacey Aldrich, State Librarian to attend an AC meeting to share information <br />regarding the Puna Regional Library. He informed the AC that he has not yet heard back from <br />the State Librarian. <br />June moved that Hans work with Larry and Frank to draft a formal invitation to the State <br />Librarian, inviting her to the September 13th AC meeting.
