Update from the Connectivity and Emergency Response Subcommittee (CERS): <br />Patti updated the AC on the most recent activities of the CER Subcommittee. She mentioned <br />that there were additional connectivity locations between Hawaiian Ares and Orchidland and <br />via Ola`a Road to Highway 11 that were included in the Ad Hoc Rep Patti will provide this <br />information via email to the CDP planning team and the Action Committee. The Ad Hoc <br />report was passed with full support from the County Council and has been forwarded on to the <br />Department of Public Works. Update of the Pahoa Regional Town Center Plan Subcommit ee (PRTCPS <br />Patti updated the AC on the recenttivities of the PRTCPS. Complications with the purchase <br />of the Luquins property continue. owner of the building that was built partially on the <br />Luquins property has agreed to take the building down by the end of November. There is <br />another building that was built about 2 feet into the Luquins property and a solution to that is in <br />the works. There continues to be a need in Pahoa town for parking. The PRTCPS would like <br />to request that the County leave the Neighborhood Facility parking lot open around the clock. <br />There will be a community meeting held on Saturday, November 19th at noon, to discuss <br />priorities in Puna - especially CDP related priorities. The AC decided that Larry and Patti <br />would attend e community meeting. Mayor Elect Kim will be invited to the January 10th <br />PCDP AC meeting so that the identified CDP priorities can be shared with him. Chair Larry <br />Brown advised the Steering Committee that depending on Mayor Elect Kim's schedule, a <br />spe ' 1 meeting may be needed if he is unable to attend on January 10th <br />CPS meets at 8:OOam on the first Monda of every month at Luquin's Restaurant in Pahoa. Update from the Volcano Long Range Plan Subcommittee (VLRPS): <br />Dan updatede AC on the recent activities of the subcommittee, sharing that the survey <br />developed b VLRPS was made available to community members both online and in hard <br />copy from Oct r 1St through October 21St. A total of 287 surveys were completed, containing <br />valuable information relating to the desires of the Volcano community. The results of the <br />survey were encouraging and strongly endorsed the Volcano Long Range Plan. Dan stressed <br />the need for additional help from professionals and the Planning Department in order to move <br />forward with the Volcano Long Range Plan. <br />VLRPS meets at 7:OOpm on the third Thursday of every month at Cooper Center in Volcano.
