we're able to be able to bring the people in, show them Hawaii, explain to them our
neighborhood situation to allow an easy transition or a respectful flow, and I would [be] more
than happy sit down with everyone and try to figure it out that would be best case scenario for
everyone. But, I most certainly want to make sure that everyone here knows my wife and I
would be here 24/7 to run this operation and do everything that needs to be done to keep it all in
respect towards the neighborhood and the community, but that's pretty much where we're at.
We're hoping for a little reconsideration with all due respect.
HENKEL: Thank you, Keith.
STEPHENSON: Thank you.
HENKEL: Any questions? Then, you may be seated.
STEPHENSON: Thank you.
HENKEL: Is there a motion for action?
MIYASATO: Chair, you know, before that, I just have a couple comments. I guess we, in our
previous meeting, we just had an agendized item on parking within the property and, you know, I
just don't see it on this property, the ability for, to accommodate the cars. But, other than that,
IDirector, do you have any comments?
YEE: Nothing here.
MIYASATO: Okay, so I guess with that said, if there's no further comments, that Iat this
time, I would agree with the Director's recommendation if anyone doesn't, if anyone else doesn't
have any comments, I'll leave it at that for now.
HENKEL: Any more discussion or a motion?
IKEDA: Move to deny Use Permit No. 17-066 as recommended by the Planning Director.
HENKEL: Is there a second?
MIYASATO: Second.
HENKEL: It's been moved by Commissioner Ikeda, seconded by Commissioner Miyasato to
deny USE 17-66. Will you do a roll call vote, please, Maija?
JACKSON: Yes. Commissioner Ikeda?
IKEDA: Aye.
JACKSON: Commissioner Miyasato?
EXHIBIT A
12
