HENKEL: Thank you, Maija. Are there any questions of staff from the Commissioners? Mr. <br />Clarkson. <br />CLARKSON: Yes, I have a, I have a question. Could you please show the diagram that shows <br />the proposed parking for the facility? <br />JACKSON: Here you go. So, there are one -two -three-four parking stalls shown along <br />CLARKSON: Okay, and then going back to the photograph of that area. <br />JACKSON: So, this is a distant view of that area, but it would, it would be right along here. <br />And, I'll <br />CLARKSON: —And, I <br />JACKSON: —show you a closer view here. So, it would be parking perpendicular to the house <br />along here. Let's see if I have another one, now. There. <br />CLARKSON: Yeah, I can, II have concerns about the practicality of that kind of parking set <br />up. It looks to me like the cars would block anybody from turning that's coming out of the <br />garage and heading up the driveway, and I don't know how they would necessarily turn around <br />to head, head first out the driveway. Thank you. <br />HENKEL: Any more questions of staff? Yes. <br />MIYASATO: Good morning, Maija. <br />JACKSON: Good morning. <br />MIYASATO: I heard in your presentation that the Department had concerns with that <br />microwave. I was just more curious on what is the general, I guess, position with this <br />unpermitted use. Are they, has formal letters been written or where are? <br />JACKSON: —Are you referring to the second kitchen in the home or the use, the <br />MIYASATO: —Just the general unpermitted use of the bed and—the B&B. <br />JACKSON: The B&B, yeah. So, no warning letters or notice of violations have been issued for <br />this because the reason this came about is Ms. Valdez came into the Department on her own and <br />applied for an SMA Minor Permit in order to construct that second dwelling for the two <br />additional rooms. And, so that's how the Department discovered she was operating a B&B. <br />And, then staff informed her she needs to come in and apply for a Use Permit with the Planning <br />Commission. And, our general practice has been as long as somebody comes in and applies, and <br />there is an active application, we allow them to continue to operate until the Commission makes <br />a decision to approve or deny. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />4 <br />
