RULE 2. POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE AGENCY <br />2.1 Authority <br />The agency shall be entitled to those powers and duties identified within Chapter 53, <br />Hawai`i Revised Statutes, as amended, relating to Urban Renewal. <br />2.2 Administration <br />Pursuant to the authority granted through Section 2-35.1 of the Hawaii County Code, the <br />planning department shall be the lead agency for transitional purposes until the Banyan <br />Drive Hawai`i Redevelopment Agency is organized and able to perform the duties <br />required under Chapter 53, Hawai`i Revised Statutes. <br />11 <br />
