Good morning Chairman <br />Takaba and members of the Hawaii County Liquor Commission. My name is Curtis <br />Tyler. I'm here to testify this morning on the preliminary hearing on Application 16-36, <br />for the General liquor license, Category B2, application by Ulu Development LLC, at <br />Kona Magics Sands condominium, Ali`i Drive, tax map key: 7-7-008:022-0038. I come <br />this morning as a lifetime resident of Kona and I think most of you know me and know <br />that. I come to testify in favor of this application before you. As most of you know, the <br />space that the applicant, Magics Beach Grill, is going to be located has had quite a few <br />different food and entertainment businesses in the last 20 or 30 years. There are none <br />now and it's been vacant for quite some time. I've had a chance to meet with Mr. Davis <br />and some of the other people involved in this business project. We met in conjunction <br />with the County Park lands that are across the street, in particular, portion of Pahoehoe <br />2, Pahoehoe 3 and 4; both latitude to which was granted to my 3rd great grandparent <br />and 4th great grandmother by King Kamehameha III, in 1854.
