The County of Hawai'i Organizational Structure <br />The Hawaii County Office of Aging is one of 19 departments within the <br />County of Hawai'i organization. As an Area Agency on Aging, HCOA <br />operates under the umbrella of the County of Hawai'i with the majority <br />of agency positions funded by the County. The two primary county <br />programs that serve the elderly are the Parks and Recreation Elderly <br />Activities Division for active seniors and the Office of Aging for seniors <br />who need additional supports to maintain their quality of life.
