Stored materials <br />shall be so located as to facilitate prompt inspection. <br />6.7 „MATERIAL SAMPLES . The Contractor shall furnish for the approval of the <br />Engineer, any samples reouired by the specifications or that maybe requested <br />by the Engineer of any and all materials or equipment he proposes to use. <br />Unless specifically required, samples are not to be submitted with the bid. <br />No materials or equipment of which samples are required to be submitted <br />for approval shall be used on the work until such approval has been given by <br />the Engineer, save only at the Contractor's risk and expense. <br />Each sample submitted 'shall have a label indicating the material repre- <br />sented, its place of origin, and the names of the producer, the Contractor <br />and the building or work for which the material is intended. Samples of <br />finished materials shall be so marked as to indicate where the materials <br />represented are required by the drawings or specifications. <br />A letter in duplicate by the Contractor shall accompany each shipment <br />of samples submitted and shall contain a list of the samples, the name of the <br />building or work for which the materials are intended and the brands of the <br />materials and names of the manufacturers. <br />The approval of any sample shall be only for the characteristics or <br />for the use named in such approval and no other. Approval of a sample shall <br />not be taken in itself to change or modify any contract requirement. <br />All samples will be provided by the Contractor at no extra cost to the <br />project or to the County. <br />Section 6 <br />Page 29 <br />
