So far, we have created over 150 classes that <br />are offered island wide and have created a variety of excellent events <br />to choose from. On October 20th at the Tennis Stadium in Hilo, approx. 600 seniors were provided flu & <br />pneumonia shots by KTA pharmacy, cholesterol and glucose tests by Clinical Labs, and over 50 health <br />organizations with information for a smart, healthier living. On November 3rd over 250 participants <br />attended the West Hawai‘i Civic Center which had over 30 vendors. A first for the program were <br />Breakout Sessions held by UH Extension Agent Julia Zee and Franny Brewer from BI Invasive <br />Species Committee. Master Gardener Bill Miller, Blue Zone West Hawai‘i and HMSA’s Pete Cline <br />spoke on Healthy Movements at any age. Lots of helpful information and free medical services <br />were provided for the community to stay healthy! <br /> <br />Kupuna News 5 January-March 2018
