Amend the motion to Moved to accept budget August 2017 <br />(adjustment of $800 in essay line) by Jewel and seconded by Brooke <br />to approve August 2017 and September 2017 financials. <br />Request to increase budget is recommended that it be added to <br />treasurer report to request increase. Request was added after <br />September 7, 2017. An additional $5,000 to be added to our budget. <br />Moved by Mele and seconded by Jewel to support the budget of <br />$5,000 in motion as budget increase. <br />V. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC None. <br />VI. CORRESPONDENCE <br />A. Received Tammy Aiona CSW Member <br />• Effective Sunday October 1, 2017 CSW is acknowledging the <br />resignation of Tammy taking a temporary break from CSW work <br />at this time. <br />VII. REPORTS <br />A. State CSW Liaison. <br />• Cyd and Farrah attended "The System Does Not Help" for Victims <br />of Domestic Violence. <br />• Members of Legislative Caucus gathered to eahr what some of <br />the issues are so as they campaign, issues can be best <br />supported. <br />• Farrah is optimistic that issues will be brought forward i.e. <br />dispatch, police response, emergency response, prosecutor <br />response. <br />• A walk was coordinated on Oahu to highlight challenges women <br />receive regarding inappropriate . <br />• Voting rights for incarcerated people, League of Women, College <br />debt affecting women more than it does men, Family Leave <br />because Chamber of Commerce only wants to deduct $.62 per <br />week for family leave. <br />• This upcoming year 2018 The National Association for <br />Commissions on Women in September 2018. <br />• Cathy Betts leaving State CSW to go to Department of Human <br />Services but may return to State CSW within a specific amount of <br />time. Currently interim applications for State CSW position is <br />being accepted. <br />• Template being created by Cyd to support CSW Members giving <br />testimony future meetings.
