But in terms of <br />4 complexity, in terms of the number of cases, in terms of, <br />5 like Craig said, staff . . . <br />6 MR. MASUDA: Probably be Maui. Certainly not <br />7 Kauai. Kauai is too few of everything, all between. <br />8 Honolulu, you don't have the number of staff nor the number <br />9 of cases, just because of population. <br />10 MR. PAVAO: So in your mind, would be Maui? <br />11 MR. MASUDA: Would be more like Maui. And in case <br />12 you're wondering, every time Jack sits down -- I've known <br />13 Jack for over thirty years. So when he puts his coffee cup <br />14 down and he starts talking, everybody over here who knows <br />15 Jack, everybody gets nervous if he going knock over that cup. <br />16 CHR. But there's a <br />18 general consensus among this Salary Commission, which <br />19 occurred at the last meeting, that we're going to split this <br />20 deliberation of what to do with the salaries into two pieces. <br />21 One is, increment one, in which we intend to take <br />22 care of the deficiencies right away. And the other one is to <br />23 look at what happens in the long term, you know, after the -- <br />24 toward the beginning of the next fiscal year or when these <br />25 new pay raises take effect.
