Now, that's the <br />5 part where there's a law that says that we cannot do <br />6 that. So this idea of setting automatic adjustments is <br />7 something that Amy will explain right after we're pau <br />8 here. <br />9 The bottom part is the procedure for setting <br />10 this. And also I just want to mention that this is <br />11 just a suggestion, so it can be subject to change. No <br />12 problem. But the suggestion is that before each <br />13 elected term, be it a four-year term for the mayor's <br />14 office or two-year terms for the county council, would <br />15 be the time when this commission would be evaluating <br />16 these salaries for adoption, be it increase, decrease, <br />17 or stay the same. <br />18 Furthermore, the annual adjustments, if there <br />19 are any annual adjustments or increment adjustments, <br />20 those adjustments need to be made by the Salary <br />21 Commission; and as Amy will explain, it has to be <br />22 separate from collective bargaining.
