Page 7 <br />1 announcement at all or anything of interest by any of <br />2 the commissioners? <br />3 Hearing none, okay, let's move on with <br />4 Unfinished Business. <br />5 The review of the existing compensation plan. <br />6 The first item is this Bill 98, Draft 2, which <br />7 initiates an amendment to Article VIII, Section 13-28 <br />8 of the Hawaii County Charter, 2016 edition, relating to <br />9 Salary Commission, introduced by Council Member Susan <br />10 Lee Loy, which requires at least 30 days prior to the <br />11 approval of any salary adjustment, the Salary <br />12 Commission submit copies of a detailed record of its <br />13 findings and conclusions to the Office of the County <br />14 Clerk and the Office of the Mayor, publish a notice <br />15 that said report is available for public inspection and <br />16 include in the notice a detailed account of proposed <br />17 salary increases and decreases, and hold at least one <br />18 public hearing in either East or West Hawaii, including <br />19 video conferencing technology, to allow for <br />20 participation from both East and West Hawaii. Also, <br />21 requires that any increase or decrease of more than 10 <br />22 percent be approved by two-thirds vote of the entire <br />23 membership of the Commission (SEE ATT. A). <br />24 Any discussion on that?
