Fire – Mike Uchida briefly spoke about HFD hazmat involvement into the <br />last incident at PGV and made some suggestions for any release, to <br />identify whether it is an abated or non-abated release. <br /> Police – no report given <br /> <br />VI. Industry partners reports – <br /> PGV – Ron stated that due to the problems with communication with the <br /> last incident, they have put up a micro tower. He also reiterated what <br /> Darryl Oliveira had stated and addressed the recommendations taken away <br /> from the AAR. <br /> Harbors – Russell Moore talked about their involvement with the Marine <br /> Spill Response Center (MSRC) and the possible expansion of pier IV <br /> pollutants. He also discussed the possibility of importing bio fuel. <br /> <br />VII. Department of Health HEER report – Sharon Leonida discussed the incident <br />in West Texas. She reiterated that associated press had requested specific <br />information but only limited information could be given out due to strict <br />control on this. She also stated that any requests for local tier II report <br />information must be requested through the DOH HEER office. <br /> Harold Lau reported that the HMEP grant had been completed for next year. <br /> John Peard reported that they are in the process of taking samples from the <br /> pesticide mixing areas to identify areas to clean up soil arsenic contamination <br /> by the schools and also at Waiakea pond. <br /> <br />VIII. New business – CD reported unexploded ordinance identification off <br />Kawaihae road in Sandalwood subdivision <br /> Concerns with bio diesel, and the readiness of HFD to respond to these <br /> incidents. <br /> <br />IX. Announcements - Mike Uchida requested funds from the LEPC to fund three <br />personnel to attend this years Hazmat Continuing Challenge in Sacramento, <br />CA. Jack Roney moved to allocate $6,000 for this purpose, Russell Moore <br />seconded the motion. <br /> <br />X. Adjournment – the meeting was adjourned at 12:06pm <br />
