<br />RAY: To -, well, I don’t know, you know, so -, you know, that’s what we need to get a handle on, and
<br />we don’t know -, Richard said those files aren’t organized. You know, maybe there are some summaries.
<br />WURDEMAN: Well, they’re chronologically organized.
<br />RAY: Okay.
<br />HERKES: They’re chronologically organized.
<br />WURDEMAN: Chronologically.
<br />RAY: Okay.
<br />HERKES: That’s not a bad way.
<br />RAY: Yeah. John.
<br />HERKES: And we could get them scanned.
<br />RAY: Okay.
<br />HERKES: We can use some of our money.
<br />SANTANGELO: In part of the consideration, it occurs to me that if going back to the minutes and what
<br />kind of minutes we’re going to take, I think a rule of thumb with the Council was eight hours
<br />transcribing for a one-hour meeting. So, you know, depending on what kind of minutes we have and
<br />how much we’re going to wrap these people up in that time, because it seems like there’s going to be an
<br />awful lot of time devoted to keeping just track of the record of this meeting. And so, you know, I
<br />certainly start leaning towards abbreviated statements as much as possible in a minutes. But just, you
<br />know, we’re talking about research. What is the lawyer going to do, defining the difference between
<br />those two responsibilities?
<br />BALOG: I mean just for discussion, that’s what we’re trying to do now is we’re not -, we don’t, per se,
<br />have a lawyer, so we’re trying to get a job duty of what we’d like our secretary to do, and then if we
<br />don’t want the secretary to do research, or if just say we don’t want them to do research, then that would
<br />be something we would put under the lawyer’s responsibilities, so that’s what we’re -, I would think that
<br />we should be trying to do right now.
<br />RAY: Okay, what does anybody envision? Okay, we got what, three past Charter Commissions, right? I
<br />think. You know, so what would we like, as a body, to receive in regard to, you know, what happened
<br />the last three times they reviewed the charter? I mean, what is it, you know, you’d like to see? I mean, at
<br />the very least, you know, the charter proposals and the, you know, and the complete language around
<br />that, at the very least, right?
<br />HERKES: And I think that’s at most.
<br />RAY: And, you know, that’s in the front of the charter.
<br />HERKES: Yeah.
