We have to have it in one question, right? <br />HERKES: Why do we have to have it in one question? <br />MARTIN: We don’t. <br />SANTANGELO: I think we all decided at one time in the dialogue that we wanted to keep the <br />amendments to as few as possible and we grouped – <br />RAY: Well, let’s ask Chris that. As far as structuring this grammatically, could it be three questions all <br />in No. 7 vs. this one question? <br />YUEN: I don’t like this either but the problem is that we grouped together a number of related items in <br />order to not have a lot of different questions. It could be phrased as three questions or four questions that <br />you vote on together. It could be phrased as ‘Should the following changes be made to the Charter, <br />colon, dash, Require – <br />HERKES: Do you find that’s hard for voters to understand, Sue? <br />RAY: Well, it’s not correct grammatically as it is now as far as that first comma. <br />IRVINE: You say it’s not. No, no. <br />RAY: No. You’ve got a comma there but it really should be a period. <br />IRVINE: A period, yes, or maybe a semi-colon would do, but at least they need to be separated with a <br />semi-colon if not, I think. <br />SANTANGELO: So Marni, you were saying, like, you could do it under 7. but make those like separate <br />paragraphs or separate lines? <br />HERKES: Yes, it could all be number 7.
