We don't have any public testifiers today, but we <br />do have Bob Fitzgerald, the Director of Parks and Recreation, in case the Commissioners <br />have questions for him. <br />CHR. HAITSUKA: Thank you. We do have one written submission, it is from Margaret <br />Wille. We also have a communication in response to that from our attorney, Levi Hookano. <br />The Commission has a copy of Ms. Wille's testimony and Mr. Hookano's memorandum. <br />Any discussion? <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />CHR. HAITSUKA: Next on our agenda is the Approval of the Minutes for the May 8, 2009 <br />meeting. Is there a motion to approve the minutes of the May 8, 2009 meeting? <br />Ms. Jarman moved to approve the minutes of the <br />May 8, 2009 Hawaii County Charter Commission <br />meeting. Seconded by Ms. Honma. <br />CHR. HAITSUKA: Any discussion? <br />The motion to approve the minutes of the May 8, 2009 <br />Hawaii County Charter Commission meeting was <br />carried by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Honma, Jarman, Kawauchi, <br />Nahale -a, Osborne, Shumway, Unger and <br />Chair Haitsuka. <br />Noes: None. <br />Absent: Commissioners Kealoha and Fuertes. <br />CHR. HAITSUKA: We also have a copy of the Minutes from the Executive Session from <br />the May 8, 2009 meeting. <br />MS. JARMAN: Mr. Chair, I just got them and haven't had a chance to read them. Could we <br />postpone that until later, after we have had a break, and have a chance to read them? <br />CHR. HAITSUKA: We need a motion to defer. <br />Ms. Jarman moved to defer approval of the minutes <br />of the May 8, 2009 Executive Session until later in <br />the meeting. Seconded by Mr. Nahale -a.
