Motion No. 1: Dr. Juvik makes a motion that this <br /> topic be open for future discussion; and the correct <br /> language definitions of "majority" and "entire member- <br /> ship" state: "majority of all members to which the <br /> board/commission is entitled. " The motion was <br /> seconded by Ms. Cushnie. <br /> Further Discussion: Greenwell: Suggests <br /> including language to remove members missing a <br /> specified number of meetings. Bethea: Suggests <br /> taking care of that as a separate issue. <br /> Motion No. 1 Restated: Dr. Juvik moves that all <br /> County commissions that have the power to make final <br /> decisions must/ in all of their deliberations , whether <br /> advisory or final , require the majority of vote of all <br /> members to which the commission is entitled; and that <br /> other commissions , not previously described, may carry <br /> out business or make decisions on the basis of a <br /> simple majority of members present , assuming a quorum <br /> is present (Tape 1 : 2:43 ) .
