In the case of child care <br />necessary to permit employment, the amount shall not <br />exceed the amount of employment income that is included <br />in the annual income. <br />9. Co-Head of Household: The spouse and/or one other adult <br />member in the Family who shares responsibility and <br />benefits with the head of household. <br />10. Decent, Safe, and Sanitary Housing: Housing which meets <br />the Housing Quality Standards (HQS) Part 982.401-406 of <br />24 CFR. <br />11. Denial of Assistance for an Applicant: Includes any or <br />all of the following: Denying listing on the OHCD <br />Waiting List, denying or withdrawing a Voucher, <br />refusing to enter into a HAP Contract or approve a <br />Lease and refusing to process or provide assistance <br />under Portability procedures. <br />12. Dependent: A member of the family household (except for <br />foster children and foster adults) other than the Head <br />of Household or spouse, who is under 18 years of age or <br />is a Persons with Disabilities or is a Full-Time <br />student. <br />13. Disabled Family: A family whose head, spouse or sole <br />member is a Person with Disabilities, as defined by 24 <br />CFR 5.403. It may include two (2) or more Persons with <br />Disabilities living together; or one (1) or more <br />Persons with Disabilities living with one or more live- <br />in aides. <br />14. Displaced Family: A displaced family is one who <br />temporarily resides in transient facilities such as <br />motels, hotels, shelters, temporarily resides as a <br />household guests; or is other “homeless” or living in <br />“substandard, permanent replacement housing” is not <br />displaced. <br />15. Domestic Violence: Defined as a person who is a victim <br />of domestic abuse as defined in the Hawaii Revised <br />Statues, Domestic Violence Protective Order Statues. <br />16.
