D. PUBLIC NOTICE TO LOWER-INCOME AND/OR VERY LOW-INCOME <br />FAMILIES <br />1. Notice of Availability of Housing Assistance <br />The OHCD shall make known to the public through <br />publication in a newspaper of general circulation and <br />other suitable means, the availability and nature of <br />housing assistance for very-low income and/or <br />extremely-low income families. The notice shall <br />further inform such families where and how they may <br />apply for the TBRA Program. <br />2. Notice in Accordance with HUD Guidelines <br />Such notice shall be made in accordance with the OHCD's <br />HUD-approved equal opportunity housing plan and with <br />the HUD guidelines for fair housing requiring the use <br />of the equal housing opportunity logotype, statement, <br />and slogan, emphasizing outreach to families not <br />otherwise expected to apply. <br />E. PUBLIC NOTICE AND INVITATION TO OWNERS <br />1. Invitation to Owners <br />The OHCD shall invite Owners through publication in a <br />newspaper of general circulation and other suitable <br />means to make dwelling units available for lease by <br />eligible families. In so doing, the OHCD shall <br />encourage the participation of Owners of units in areas <br />other than low-income or minority concentration. <br />Invitations to Owners shall be made in accordance with <br />the applicable HUD guidelines. <br />2. Contact with Organizations <br />The OHCD shall: <br />a. develop working relationships with local Owners <br />and real estate associations, <br />b. establish contact with civic, charitable, or <br />neighborhood organizations which have an interest <br />in housing for low-income families, and public <br />agencies concerned with obtaining housing for <br />displaces, and <br />Rules and Regulations <br />-22- <br />0010ARslh-TBRA <br />11/01/2007 <br /> <br />
