in the administration of the Section 8 Program. <br />Applicants who have an outstanding balance with any PHA <br />shall be allowed on the waiting list but shall not <br />become participants in the Program until the <br />outstanding balance has been paid. For further <br />information, see Section G.3. <br />7. Purging the Waiting List: From time to time, the <br />waiting list will be purged of applicants who: <br />a. have not responded to requests for updated <br />information; or <br />b. have not responded to inquiries about their <br />continued interest in the program; or <br />c. may have moved from OHCD's jurisdiction. <br />Before termination from the waiting list, the OHCD <br />shall first call the telephone and/or message number <br />(if applicable) listed on the application, and second, <br />write a letter to the applicant, advising that the <br />family has a right to dispute the termination according <br />to the provisions in Section Y. <br />J. VERIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY <br />1. Application for Admission <br />The OHCD shall determine eligibility for issuance of <br />Vouchers in accordance with schedules and criteria <br />established by HUD. In so doing, the OHCD shall <br />require every applicant for a Voucher to complete and <br />sign an application for admission prescribed by the <br />OHCD and HUD. <br />2. Verification <br />To substantiate eligibility, preference rating, voucher <br />size and rent to be paid, the information submitted on <br />the application for admission shall be verified. <br /> 3. Methods of Verification <br />HUD regulations require that all factors of eligibility <br />and Total Tenant Payment/Family Share be verified by <br />the OHCD.
