Hawaii Game Management Advisory Commission Meeting <br />Minutes – September 24, 2018 <br />?: I move to accept the expenditure detail report. <br /> <br />TL: OK. Very good. All in favor? \[The ayes have it\] Nobody oppo0sed? All right? <br />Anybody from the public have any comments to make on our forthcoming <br />presentations this evening either on the RAD. Oh, Bryan Leo from Pohakuloa <br />who was gonna be here tonight – wasn’t able to make it. He will try to make it <br />to our next meeting, which will be on November 8, I believe, and to let us <br />know a little bit about what’s going on up at Pohakuloa with the hunting <br />program uip there and what he’s trying to do to further that program. So we’ll <br />be looking forward to having him here. Abraham Antonio will be – well is here <br />– and will be talking to us briefly about the revival of Pig Hunters of Hawaii – <br />Bill Stormont also what we can do – then we’ll get into the New Business – so <br />before we do that – George? <br /> <br />GD: Yes... Doniff... <br /> <br />TL: Yeah, I’m gonna have to do something about this. This is in public too. OK. All <br />right, George, please, if you don’t mind and speak into – tell us a little bit <br />about who you are, how you got involved in this and what interested you in <br />the commission. <br /> <br />GD: So I’m George Donniff – I’m currently a freshman at the University of Hawaii <br />at Hilo. I graduated from HPA in 2017 and I had previously done some field <br />work with the Kohala Watershed Partnership and I was actively involved in <br />some turtle tagging things in high school and so I care a lot about the <br />environment and the animals that live on this island and the ecosystems and <br />so my community was looking for a representative because the seat was <br />vacant for a little while, I believe, and no one really stepped up and so I had <br />the time to do so and so I thought I could represent my district. <br /> <br />TL: Does anybody have any questions? <br /> <br />NP: Thank you... <br /> <br />TL: Do you hunt? <br /> <br />GD: Yes, I have hunted before. <br /> <br />TL: Do you have a hunting license now? <br /> <br />GD: No, I do not have a hunting license. <br /> <br />TL: Or the Hunter Ed program at all? <br /> <br />GD: No. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
