<br />Taniguchi: Under New Business, we had that new item that was listed, Item No. 16. We had
<br />a request by Mr. Cook who has another engagement on the Hilo side to move his application
<br />to No. 1.
<br />At 10:23 A.M., the representative for El Maguey Mexican Restaurante
<br />LLC, dba El Maguey Mexican Restaurante, arrived.
<br />Taniguchi: We will take this up first, and go back to (Application No. T18-02). Item No.
<br />16, Anthony's Catering Inc., dba Anthony's Catering, application received on September
<br />25, 2018, for an original Caterer liquor license.

<br />received on September 25, 2018, for an original Caterer liquor license,
<br />located at 61-3270 Maluokalani Street, Building A, Bay 1, Kawaihae,
<br />Hawaii, TMK: 6-1-006:015.
<br />Vaughn Cook, Esq. on behalf of the applicant, and Anthony Alex Garcia,
<br />President, were present.
<br />Cook: Good morning, Mr. Chair, Madame Vice Chair, Commissioners. My name is
<br />Vaughn Cook. I'm appearing on behalf of the applicant, Anthony's Catering Inc., and with
<br />me on my right, is Mr. Anthony Alex Garcia, the president of the applicant. We have
<br />reviewed the licensing investigator's report and have no changes.
<br />Takase: Vaughn, there was a question about whether he could actually serve at his
<br />location, but that's cleared up, right?
<br />Cook: Yes. There was a question whether there would be a service of alcohol at the
<br />location and I've spoken with my client and he can also confirm since he's here, but the
<br />answer is no. The location, the licensed premises is only going to be used for preparing
<br />food, not for serving alcohol.
<br />Garcia: Yes. That is confirmed. It's just a commercial kitchen. There is no tables, not
<br />even a chair in the place, and in the body of my lease with the landlord, I'm only permitted
<br />under the Department of Health regulations to prepare food. There's no liquor permitted as
<br />far as service.
<br />Taniguchi: Commissioners, any questions?
