Review of existing compensation plan to include discussion and consideration on <br />proposals for adjustments to future salaries of executives and elected officials <br />beginning July 1, 2019. Discussion may include: <br />A. Salary Commission's Plan regarding a schedule concerning future salary <br />adjustments (increases, decreases, or no change) prepared by former Chair <br />Hugh Ono, introduced at the Salary Commission meeting held on <br />September 17 and postponed to October 9, 2018. This Plan was amended and <br />approved by the Salary Commission at its meeting held on November 27, <br />2018. <br />The objective of the Plan is to secure the best available information toward <br />considering and deciding on possible future salary adjustments by consulting <br />and inviting the various County departments and board/commission <br />representatives, including input and available information by the Department <br />of Human Resources. <br />B. Suggested salary adjustments as recommended by the Department of <br />Human Resources. <br />Postponed: October 9 and November 27, 2018 <br />2. Update concerning the Rules of the Salary Commission by Deputy <br />Corporation Counsel Amy Self (may include revisions to the Rules). <br />i. Recommendation from the Director of Human Resources to <br />postpone rule amendments until after the November 6, 2018 election. <br />ii. Revisions proposed by Commissioners as submitted by <br />November 16, 2018. <br />iii. Discussion of above revisions under item ii. <br />iv. Salary Commission rules from other Hawaii State Counties. <br />Postponed: September 17, October 9, and November 27, 2018 <br />Note: If the proposed revisions/amendments to the Rules are approved by the <br />Salary Commission, a public hearing will be scheduled and notice given <br />pursuant to §91-3, Hawaii Revised Statutes. <br />
