I don't know if this <br />13 is appropriate, but what triggers this question that I <br />14 have, 204-1, which seems like really is our backbone of <br />15 the Salary Commission, in that the director -- so that <br />16 total salaries and benefits have a reasonable <br />17 relationship to compensation in the public and private <br />18 sectors. <br />19 The question is, if you look back on the <br />20 proposed -- we covered earlier, proposed schedule, <br />21 there's really no mention whatsoever of the private <br />22 sector. Now, we're going to be attending some public <br />23 hearings, and somebody in my district comes up and <br />24 says, "Well, Mr. Higgins, what did you guys do to <br />25 compare versus the private sector?"
