These summits will build collaborative capacity, <br />collect data for network mapping and food system study, showcase successful projects, and <br />continue the momentum towards building a more equitable, inclusive, sustainable, resilient food <br />and agriculture system for Hawaii. <br />Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of <br />Hawaii. Department of Health for these funds. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending <br />the Operating Budget by appropriating this $26,000 to the Department of Research and <br />Development's "HI County Food Access Summit Program" account. <br />The Department of Research & Development requests that this resolution be waived from the <br />Finance Committee and be placed on the October 7, 2020 Council agenda, and to waive Council's <br />five-day hold -for -reconsideration in order to expedite this transaction.
