Hunt <br />Deputy Director <br />The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney wishes to provide $40,000 to Child and Family <br />Support Services, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. This grant will be federally funded <br />through a Victim of Crime Act (VOCA) grant received by the Office of the Prosecuting <br />Attorney. Child and Family Support Services will provide shelter and support services to <br />domestic violence victims. <br />Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide <br />$40,000 to Child and Family Support Services, pursuant to Hawaii County Code (2005 <br />Edition as amended) Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A). <br />The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney requests that this resolution be waived from the <br />Finance Committee and be placed on the October 7, 2020 Council agenda, and to waive <br />Council's five-day hold -for -reconsideration in order to expedite this transaction.
