Hunt <br />Deputy Director, <br />The County of Hawaii has been awarded $195,726.75 in federally derived funds from the State <br />of Hawaii, Emergency Management Agency. These funds will be used to ensure the <br />development and implementation of a long-term disaster recovery plan and program with a focus <br />on hazard mitigation. <br />Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed is a bill <br />for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $195,726.75 grant. The <br />Planning Department is requesting that this bill be waived from Finance Committee and be <br />placed on the October 21, 2020 Council agenda to expedite the receipt of these funds.
