Hunt <br />Deputy Director <br />':I,: <br />,�MAL W�Ir•'."I'.. uvN:f.. <br />The Planning Department has been awarded federal funds from the, United States Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to administer a Community Development Block Grant <br />for Disaster Recovery. These funds will be used to support disaster relief, long-term recovery, <br />and restore infrastructure, housing, and economic revitalization in Hawaii County. <br />Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed is a bill <br />for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating a CDBG-Disaster Recovery <br />grant in the amount of $83,841,000. The Planning Department is requesting that this bill be <br />waived from Finance Committee and be placed on the November 6, 2020 Council agenda to <br />expedite the receipt of these funds.
