Hunt <br />Deputy Director <br />The Office of Housing and Community Development has been awarded federal funds from the <br />United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Voucher Federal <br />Gr,.nt Program, Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) Initiative. These funds will be used to pay <br />for the voucher subsidies related to the Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) Initiative and to <br />cover the program's operating expenses. <br />Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed is a bill <br />for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating a Foster Youth to <br />Independence Initiative grant in the amount of $200,000. <br />If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Christine Nguyen of the Office of <br />Housing and Community Development at 961-8379. <br />Deanna S.
