The Department of Environmental Management was <br /> awarded federal funding from the United States Department of Commerce Economic <br /> Development Administration to provide partial funding for this position. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution creating one new Planner V, SR-24, position for the Department <br /> of Environmental Management to assist in identifying areas of growth and development <br /> and laying out master plans for sewer collections systems, wastewater treatment plants <br /> and solid waste facilities island wide. <br /> The Department of Environmental Management respectfully requests that a breach be <br /> authorized to submit this resolution after the January 14, 2021 submission deadline, and <br /> that it be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed on the February 3, 2021 <br /> Council agenda to expedite this process.
