Then on March 11, 2020, the Council adopted Resolution No. 502- <br /> 20,to initiate proceedings to form an improvement district. Subsequently it was determined that <br /> a Community Facilities District would work best for this project. <br /> On June 24, 2021, a petition was filed by RCFC Kaloko Heights, LLC, Kaloko Heights BIA <br /> Holdings, LLC, and Kaloko Heights Investors, LLC to form a community facilities district to <br /> construct the sewer extension noted above. The petition has been submitted at this time to allow <br /> for the completion of the sewer line extension in conjunction with the completion of an 80 to <br /> 100-unit affordable housing project. <br /> i <br /> Enclosed is a resolution in accordance with Hawaii County Code Section 32-20, to accept and <br /> 1 <br /> grant the petition and undertake all things necessary to initiate and complete the formation of a <br /> Community Facilities District for the construction of certain public sewer improvements located <br /> at Kaloko and Kohanaiki,North Kona. <br /> We respectfully request that a breach be authorized to submit this resolution after the June 17, <br /> 2021 submission deadline, and to waive it from the Finance Committee in order to be placed on <br /> the July 7, 2021 Council agenda.
