RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETAR� <br />DONATION OF $2,094.40 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION <br />Parks and Recreation's Elderly Activities division; and <br />WHEREAS, these funds will be used to support the division's Nutrition Home <br />Delivered Meals program; and <br />WHEREAS, Article X111, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br />that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br />securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br />and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br />any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br />capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br />Resolution approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that <br />cash donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal <br />Resolution process; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the <br />acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br />
